Girls’ Golf Tour!
In partnership with LPGA-USGA Girls Golf, the LPGA Foundation, and the Chateau Elan Winery & Resort, we are thrilled to bring the 5th annual Girls Golf
Team Championships this July to North Atlanta, Georgia. The event will be hosted at the Chateau Elan Golf Club,
past host of the Sarazen World Open Golf Championship.
Each player will receive three rounds of golf, a Girls Golf Team Championship gift package, lunch each day, Thursday cook-out for players and families,
Friday group activity, snacks, and beverages on site
EVENT INFORMATION
The event will feature two-person teams structured in 3 divisions:
- Championship:
- Ages 12-17
- 36-hole team tournament + practice round from 5,700 yards, par 72
- Format: Rd1 – Practice Round, Rd2 – Modified Alternate-Shot, Rd3 – Four Ball Stroke Play
- Futures:
- Ages 10-17
- 36-hole team tournament + practice round from 5,000 yards, par 72
- Format: Rd1 – Practice Round, Rd2 – Modified Alternate-Shot, Rd3 – Four Ball Stroke Play
- Double Par will be the maximum score on any hole
- Discovery:
- Ages 9-12
- 18-hole (9 Holes Each Day) team tournament + practice round from 1,900 yards, par 36
- Format: Rd1 – Practice Round, Rd2 – Modified Alternate-Shot, Rd3 – Four Ball Stroke Play
- Double Par will be the maximum score on any hole
Explantaion of formats of play:
- Modified Alternate-Shot - Each player hits tee shot, pick one ball and play alternate-shot through the hole
- Four Ball Stroke Play - Each player plays her own ball and the lower score of the two players is the team score each hole
All official events will be held at the Chateau Elan Golf Club or host hotel, the Chateau Elan Resort Inn.

HOW DO I REGISTER ?
Players must register online to participate in the Girls Golf Team Championships. Entries for the Girls Golf Team Championship are
open to teams of two female amateur golfers, ages 9 – 17, who are registered members of LPGA-USGA Girls Golf.
DO YOU NEED A PARTNER? The PKBGT will help you find one. When you register below, write "Need A Partner" in the
partner field and we will communicate with you to get you paired up!
The entry fee is $185 per player ($165 for Discovery Division players). Each player will receive three rounds of golf,
a Girls Golf Team Championship gift package, lunch each day, Thursday cook-out for players and families, pool party Friday, snacks, and beverages on site.

ABOUT THE PEGGY KIRK BELL GIRLS' GOLF TOUR
Founded in 2007 by the non-profit Triad Youth Golf Foundation as a local girls' golf tour in the Triad region of
North Carolina, the tour began as a simple concept from Tour Founder Robert Linville, PGA: create more
effective competitive playing opportunities for girls in the Carolina's. Developed as a partnership with Tour
Director Mike Parker and two LPGA teaching professionals, the tour set out to change the landscape of junior
girls' golf. By utilizing innovative yardage-based divisions instead of the traditional age-based format, the tour
focused on developing tournament experience at the players pace. Learn more about the

OUR MISSION:
- To ensure the future of the game by providing a “Girls Only Tour” that will actively increase participation and interest in girl’s golf
- To provide a venue for aspiring collegiate golfers in the Carolina’s and beyond to develop, compete and be recognized

In 2017, the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour enters its eleventh season. In its short history, the Tour has grown leaps and bounds. Started in 2007 as a venue for aspiring collegiate golfers in the
Carolinas to develop, compete, and be recognized, the Tour has expanded to host events in seven states, with over 600 members, and more than 550 members advancing to the collegiate ranks.
We are excited about the Tour’s growth and the profound impact it has had on its participants’ recruitment and success in college. In addition, it is rewarding to hear the many stories of friendships
made both on the course and in the gallery. We strive to make the PKBGT more than just a golf tournament. We aim for a positive environment to grow and sustain girls golfers.
In the fall of 2014, the PKBGT started the Let's Play Campaign. Our vision through the Let’s Play Campaign is to establish 1,000 “girls’ only” tournaments in the next 10 years based on a
multi-level competitive framework which cultivates, enhances, and recognizes girls’ successes in the game.
We aim to accomplish this vision through 3 strategic goals:
- INCREASE LPGA-USGA GIRLS GOLF MEMBERSHIP AND PARTICIPATION
- SUSTAIN GROWTH THROUGH APPROPRIATE COMPETITIVE OPPORTUNITIES
- DEVELOP EQUITY IN COMPETITIVE OPPORTUNITIES FOR GIRLS IN GOLF
